How Clinical Staff Can Improve on their Teamwork

Although cannot be underrated, many healthcare teams ignore the importance of team dynamics and taking the time off to rest, relax have leisure.

Over the years, many team leaders in healthcare have tried their best to update their knowledge and skills to ensure their teams are self-organising, tolerant, adaptable, collaborative and continuosly improving. They spend a lot of money and time to ensure that their teams are empowered to the extent they could become extremely resilient in times of challenges.

One team that set this great example was the Trauma and Orthopaedics teams in the Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust-Basingstoke. Their yearly team building programme is a thing to behold as other departments stand in awe of what they represent.

In spite of their great diversity, they work in such a harmony that many would appreciate that indeed, the “Unity in Diversity” mantra is not just semantics, but a statement that makes huge differences in “Business as Usual” environments like the healthcare ecosystem.

The team engaged in physical games, during which they had to collaborate and use team dynamics to guide themselves throughout. This enriched them in various ways.
