HOHOE MUNICIPALITY CELEBRATES NEW FOOTBALL PITCH
HOHOE RESIDENTS EXCITED ABOUT NEW DEVELOPMENT
The town of Hohoe in the Volta Region of Ghana is abuzz with excitement as it officially commissions a brand-new football pitch. The state-of-the-art football pitch, which has been a long-standing dream for the people of Hohoe, was made possible through the tireless efforts of Hon. Amewu, who has been a strong advocate for the development of sports infrastructure in the town.
The new football pitch, which boasts a lush green grass surface, modern drainage systems, and floodlights, is expected to serve as a hub for football development in the town and its surrounding communities.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Hon. Amewu expressed his delight at the completion of the project, which he described as a “dream come true” for the people of Hohoe.
“I am thrilled to see this project come to fruition,” Hon. Amewu said. “As the MP for this constituency, it is my duty to ensure that our young people have access to quality sports infrastructure that can help them develop their talents and reach their full potential.”
The commissioning ceremony was attended by a large crowd of enthusiastic residents, who turned out to catch a glimpse of the new football pitch. Also in attendance were local football teams, who eagerly showcased their skills on the new pitch.
The Hohoe Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Andrews Teddy Ofori, praised Hon. Amewu for his unwavering commitment to the development of the town.
“We are grateful to our MP for his selfless dedication to the development of our town,” Hon. Ofori said. “This new football pitch is a testament to his hard work and commitment to the welfare of our people.”
The new football pitch is expected to host a series of football tournaments and matches, which will help to promote sports development in the town and its surrounding communities.
